Recruitment Fraud
Understanding Recruitment Fraud
Recruitment fraud is an increasingly common scam where impostors use our name to deceive job seekers with fake employment offers. These fraudulent schemes often involve phony job postings, fake websites, or email addresses pretending to be from HireClix. Their goal is to steal your personal information, such as banking details, credit card numbers, or Social Security numbers.
To ensure you're interacting with legitimate HireClix representatives, remember:
- Our official careers site is https://www.hireclix.com/careers and our corporate site is hireclix.com.
- During the hiring process, we will never:
- Ask you to apply through a site other than HireClix.
- Request money for equipment or background checks. If travel is necessary for an interview, discuss reimbursement with your recruiter.
- Send you a check or payment before work has begun.
- Request your Social Security number before an offer is accepted. If a U.S. Government Security Clearance is needed, a recruiter will contact you directly.
- Email from “free-mail” providers like Gmail.
- Extend a job offer without a formal interview.
If you have concerns about the legitimacy of anyone claiming to represent HireClix, contact us immediately at careers@hireclix.com. If you suspect you've been scammed, report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov and notify your local non-emergency police department.
HireClix is not liable for recruitment fraud. We urge all job seekers to be vigilant and educate themselves about fraudulent practices to avoid falling victim to scams. For more information, visit the Federal Trade Commission's website.
